2014 was a real breakthrough for crowdfunding: the market for such fundraising grew threefold (by 167%) and reached $16.2 billion. According to the World Bank's forecasts, by 2025 the annual crowdfunding turnover will grow to $93 billion. Unfortunately, in the territory of the former USSR the crowdfunding phenomenon is very poorly developed, and the residents of these countries do not invest in the ideas of their compatriots. Most often, citizens of the USA, Australia, Canada, Great Britain and the Netherlands participate in such an undertaking.
It is obvious to everyone that there are very few Russian-speaking bc data entrepreneurs on the international crowdfunding market. Often, newcomers are scared by the language barrier and the smallest nuances associated with the officiality of company registration or withdrawal of funds.
Kickstarter is the most successful global crowdfunding platform. Commercial projects often become the leaders in fundraising. The idea of a “universal”, social focus is more relevant to develop on IndieGoGo, which is less known in the CIS countries.
Keep in mind that it is very rare to promote an unoriginal project with the help of crowdfunding. Following the beaten path will not work, as it simply will not be able to catch the attention of the masses.
