If you could give one piece of advice to everyone trying to start a business online

My first tip is that I believe that you can't start a business “on the internet”, I think that any type of business is independent of the final format.
I say this because it is very common for new ideas and businesses to emerge in which people want to create, for example, an application that will do a certain thing. One point that should be observed and taken with great care is that the formats change and tomorrow or the day after it may no longer be the cell phone or desktop, it may be that what is trending is something like a watch or glasses, because the formats change all the time .
Focus on the solution you are delivering so that school principals email list it lasts for that specific problem for your consumer/client. Don't put your idea or project on a pedestal, always remember that you are doing it for someone. And then what matters is what you are solving .
In my lectures I say that people don't want a drill, they want to hang their picture on a wall. So a strong tape would solve the problem. Therefore, understand the real problem of your consumer and the solution you are delivering and not the way you are delivering it.
My other tip is to be data-driven . Focus on numbers!
There is no such thing as pretty or ugly, what matters is what produces results. So always look at the numbers and, if possible, have a team or agency that can help you along the way and you will be more assertive in the actions you take.

Have you noticed how startups are impacting people's daily lives ?
Whether it's the way they get around (Uber), the way they sell things (OLX, Mercado Livre), how they order their meals (iFood), how they earn money and find accommodation (AirBnb), how they schedule a doctor's appointment (Dr. Consulta), how they open bank accounts using just an app (Nubank), among so many other changes.
All this impact and new businesses are emerging even in an unfavorable economic scenario. So, what are these startups doing to overcome the difficulties and, in addition to conquering existing market shares, create new demands and change the way we live?
This is a question that has not only come to mind, but has also raised concerns among large corporations. Either they start getting involved with these startups and communities, or they are doomed to failure, as is the case with Blockbuster versus Netflix, among so many other giant companies that felt untouched and ended up losing market share to seemingly insignificant companies.
This rapprochement between large corporations and startups is called Open Innovation , and it can lead to new businesses, new partnerships or even new acquisitions. But in fact, what we see is that new enriching learning always emerges for both sides.
If looking closely at startups, their processes and methodologies, is enriching for large corporations, why wouldn't it be for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs? And if this is the future, why wouldn't it also be enriching for students and perhaps even for our lives?
With this in mind, we created a movement called “Jeito Startup”, where the idea is to get to know startups in depth , talking to thousands of them and extracting lessons that can be applied to other sectors. We are passionate about entrepreneurship and strongly believe in people’s potential to reinvent themselves and create solutions to improve their lives . Therefore, the goal of this movement is to inspire and provide input to all people who believe that it is possible to do things differently.
In our content and lectures, we present everything we have learned so far and that you can use in your daily life, whether in your company, at work or even in your life.
