Using Quick Start:

Turn on your new iPhone 15 and place it near your iPhone X.

The Quick Start screen will appear on your iPhone X, offering to set up the new device.

Use your current device’s Apple ID to authenticate.

Follow the on-screen instructions, including scanning an animation on your iPhone 15.

How to Transfer Your Phone Number from iPhone X to iPhone 15
Transferring your phone number is usually straightforward but depends on whether you use a physical SIM or eSIM:

Physical SIM card users: Simply remove the SIM card from your iPhone X and insert it into the iPhone 15. Your phone number and cellular service will transfer immediately.

eSIM users: On your iPhone 15, during setup, you can choose to transfer your eSIM from the old iPhone using Quick Start. Alternatively, contact your carrier to activate the eSIM on your new device.
