As you may know, some of our clients are hotels and companies in the tourism sector , so in this article we want to share with you what we have been seeing in the last few months of 2013. These are the trends in online hotel marketing that we believe will be most successful for 2014.

Highly visual websites adapted to all types of screens

Everyone has already realised that websites have to be responsive to all types of screens, and if they haven't, they need to "wake up" because we are already seeing that the number of visits to hotel pages adapted to the new formats have a high percentage of visits via mobile phones . So the idea is very clear, the design of the website of our hotel or our business has to be very visual and at the same time it has to have interesting content (relevant and descriptive content) but also adapted to mobile phones. There is a trend that photos adapted to mobile devices will facilitate reservations , so we should not rule out making it easier and more bosnia and herzegovina telegram phone numbers leasant for our potential customers. Mobile phones will continue to gain market share in the number of reservations made and let's not forget that mobile applications for hotels continue to gain strength. Applications such as Booking, Expedia, Trivago and many others such as travel organisers such as Tripit, Triporg, TripAdvisor, etc. are increasingly channelling more and more customers.

Storytelling continues to cause trouble

Storytelling has been the driving force of many hotels this year , as they have begun to attract customers by offering engaging stories that unite their brands with their customers. Video has come to the fore, being a resource that makes these stories credible and also viral. We have left behind the typical sequence of photos of rooms and services without emotion to tell potential guests our story and make them fall in love forever. A good example of this that we are seeing is the case of the Mamounia hotel in Morocco.

Tools like Vine or Instagram have emerged on the hotel scene and have revolutionised online marketing with the possibility of making virtual mini tours lasting just a few seconds. They are being used to give welcome messages to hotels, or to explain how to make a cocktail, how to make a decorative decoration for the bed or to show a series of typical dishes; even some clever hotelier has used them to send a welcome message with the weather that day, no doubt many of the guests will appreciate the information when choosing the clothes for their luggage. The video channel on Youtube also continues its unstoppable rise to the altars of positioning, and this year that is ending, positioning has been the fashion obsession. We suppose that positioning in the top five will continue to be the challenge of almost all the projects that fall into our hands.
