The National Taxi Council (NTC) Association asked Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to launch a program of preferential car leasing for enterprises in the industry, which could help it cope with the consequences of high rates. This was reported by Vedomosti, citing a document .
The document notes that 7.3 billion rubles are needed for these purposes. The calculations are related to the fact that in order to achieve the target profitability of 6-7 percent, the leasing rate should not exceed 18 percent, which is significantly lower than in the current conditions.

A representative of the taxi company "Maxim" noted that outside of large cities, the payback period for a budget car taken on lease exceeds five years, which is almost twice as long as its service life as a taxi.
The program of preferential leasing of vehicles, which is supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade , has been allocated 27 billion rubles in 2027, which is 44 percent more than the previous year. At the same time, taxi companies can also use it, but the current amount of funds is not enough for them, so either its expansion or a separate program is needed.
