Basic CMYKZen Master Vincent Keisen Vuillemin is invited by Master Myoken to Bucharest to hold a conference entitled Quantum Zen.
This will take place at Mokushozen-Ji Temple, at the following address: Complexului 2Bis Street, Bucharest sector 3, and will start at 7 pm, on October 17th.

1. Vincent Keisen Vuillemin in Zen
He entered the Zen Path in the early 1980s, following Master Etienne Mokusho Zeisler, the first disciple of Master Deshimaru. In 1987 he received ordination as a Zen monk at the Gendronnière Temple in France. After his Master's death in 1990, Keisen continued his zazen practice, in the spirit of updating the teachings that had been transmitted to him by Master Zeisler. For many years, Keisen led the daily Zen practice of the Dojo in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2007, he received the Dharma transmission (shiho) from Master Yvon Myoken Bec, in the Hobo-Ji and Taisen-Ji Temples (Hungary), thus becoming the 85th Patriarch of Zen. Currently, Master Keisen teaches at the Geneva Zen Dojo and travels frequently to Europe and South America, leading periods of intense practice (sesshin) and giving lectures on the relationship between Zen and science.
2. Vincent Keisen Vuillemin in physics
Keisen is a physicist at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, where he participated in the construction of detectors for the LHC (Large Hadron Collider), the most powerful particle accelerator. A doctor of physics, he has also participated in a multitude of experiments, one of which won the Nobel Prize. He was Director of the Engineering Department until the summer of 2010, when he was appointed the first Ombudsman of CERN.
3. Physics and Zen
Due to his two activities, Zen and physics, Keisen is mainly interested in the relationship between the meditative and physical approaches, especially in quantum physics, the approach to time in Zen Buddhism and relativity, as well as the beginnings of the Universe and the origin of matter in relation to emptiness.
